Before completing this application form please ensure that you have read our eligibility criteria. 

Any funding made by Gallagher Charitable Trust is Tax and GST Exempt.

You are eligible if you can answer yes to the following:

  • Is your organisation a charity or not-for-profit entity  (Includes community groups, clubs, educational institutions, schools and pre-schools)
  • Is your organisation New Zealand based.
  • Your organisation can demonstrate stable financial viability.
  • Your funding request is under $5,000.

 We do not fund:

  • Persons or Individuals
  • Professional / Elite sports person or teams
  • Retrospective applications (funding that is required within 4 weeks of the closing date will not be considered)
  • Overseas travel and accommodation
  • Conferences within New Zealand or overseas
  • Political purposes

To support your application please have the following documents ready to include:

  • Recent Financial Accounts
  • Budget relating to your application (if applicable)
  • Quotes(s) for specific equipment or services where applicable
    If you are applying for specific equipment or services, you will need to provide one quote of your choice for the item/service you are requesting funding for.
  • Bank account with one of the following:
    • Bank encoded deposit slip
    • Bank account number verification (verification no more than 3 months old)
    • Copy of recent bank statement – showing account name, number and bank letterhead

Any supporting documentation e.g. annual report, photos, references, supporting letters etc.

This section of the application form is designed to help you, and us, understand if you are eligible for this grant. It's crucial that you complete these questions before any others to ensure you do not waste your time applying for an unsuitable grant.
